Have you ever seen such hot guys on the beach? After leaving Fiji, we flew to LA and stayed with Doug and Kim for a couple of days. They are excellent hosts, so if any of you Sigma Chi brothers want a great vacation, I highly recommend them! We had a Sigma Chi reunion with [...]

On our last night in Fiji, we stayed at Kuata Island, which had the most breathtaking volcanic rock formations of any of the islands. The beach was amazing, and you could see across to the main land. I highly recommend Fiji to all you folks who love tropical places. We really enjoyed our trip, and [...]
The Fijian islands are volcanic in nature. Steep black precipices and outcroppings rise out of the Pacific and are covered with perfect palm trees and flowery trees. It truly is a paradise.
The weather was sunny and gorgeous all 7 days we were in Fiji! It was perfect weather for coconut drinks! A man from the resort climbed a tree to get us green coconuts, which are better for drinking. He cut the tops off, we stuck in a straw (and a little rum) and voila! Beach [...]
On Naviti, we got the opportunity to visit a village (the resorts were not near the villages). We got there by boat, as the islands do not have roads. In the village, we were welcomed by the chief, taken on a tour, and brought to the school. The children performed poems and songs in both [...]
While not quite as colorful and spectacular as New Zealand sunsets, a Fiji sunset is quite brilliant. This is a view from the deck of the second island we stayed on, Naviti. It was liquid gold!

On the other side of this small island, they filmed the movie “Blue Lagoon” with Brooke Sheilds. “Castaway” was filmed on a nearby island. The water was a beautiful turquoise blue and perfect for swimming.
Way back in January when we booked our plane tickets to New Zealand, we purchased a deal that allowed us a free stopover in the island nation of Fiji! We always had the trip in the back of our minds while we were in N.Z., but it wasn’t until a few weeks before arriving in [...]
After leaving Rotorua, we headed to Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand. It was an exciting drive, as we got to drive on an actual highway! It’s not a complete highway, as some parts are still being constructed, so you go from a two-lanes-each-way-separated-by-grass-median to one-lane-each-way-separated-by-a-line and then back to the two lanes each [...]
We had done a good job “keeping it real” in New Zealand and not going to any of the super touristy sites. That was until we got to Rotorua. This town is like the Disney World of New Zealand– the place that every child dreams of visiting. In addition to the wacky geothermal sites that [...]
